AQUABIOTECH’s REBF Modules recycle close to 100% of the water of a given body of water, while maintaining optimal environmental conditions. All aspects of water filtration are taken into account (removal of suspended solids and dissolved organics, biofiltration, chemical balance, pathogens, and gas exchanges).

Two categories of REBF(water REcycling with BioFiltration (REBF) Modules™

When fish density is concerned, we have noticed that aquatic and marine research generally falls into two broad categories. We therefore build two types of Water REcirculation and BioFiltration (REBF) Modules:

1) ECO-REBF™: for Ecology-type studies (low fish densities; mimic natural environment)

2) AQUA-REBF™: Aquaculture-type studies (high fish densities; mimic aquaculture-type environment)

Each of these Modules is perfectly adapted to the conditions for which it is designed. Water quality in high-density aquaculture systems remains excellent and systems are easier to maintain. ECO-REBF Modules are more compact and cost-efficient.

• Every system that we manufacture is delivered at your site coated with an active population of nitrifying bacteria;
• This two or three month process is performed at our plant before delivery;
• This will save you months of technician analytical time, money and reduce stress on the fish;
