The tide simulator units are offered in three different standard models, depending on your needs. We can adapt or custom build a system if needed.

THE TROPIK MODEL

Simple, compact, perfect!


Where high quality water in the raising of tropical fish is required, the Tropical Model is much appreciated for its sophisticated water filtration system and compact enclosure. It is the simplest and most economical model of our Tide series.

Precise temperature control!

  • Each twinned aquarium is kept at a different temperature by means of a submerged water heater;
  • With the Tide-Monitron electronic controller incorporated in the TROPIK model you have reliable control of water temperature;
  • The integrated control capacity ensures that the temperature setting will remain stable (± 0.3°C) despite fluctuations in the ambient air temperature;
  • Walls and floor are made of double wall insulated food-approved fibreglass, while the lids and the front windows are in ½" Lexan;

Photoperiod ready!

  • Lights in the laboratory room can be readily adjusted to reduce light stress by means of our MRA electronic dimmer, which simulates dawn and dusk;
  • A complete annual photoperiodic cycle for breeding control can also be simulated with the more sophisticated SunMatch Astral Photoperiod controller;

 

THE MESOTHERM MODEL


The Mesotherm Model has water cooling capacity. Therefore it is much sought after for studies involving coolwater marine life.

Independent and powerful cooling control, A unique AquabioLab feature!


The water temperature in each twinned aquarium is cooled independently — A unique feature, each twinned aquarium has independent cooling capacity down to 15°C in a room at 20°C.

It is able to do so with its own thermo-electric module and titanium heat exchanger. A cooler room temperature will permit lower temperatures to be attained.

An air fan located on the upper shelf of the system's frame takes away the heat extracted by each thermo-electric module. Except for the lids and front windows which are made of ½" Lexan, all walls and floors made of double wall moulded fibreglass panels and are fully insulated.

Your peace of mind, have full control over the water parameters

  • With the Tide-Monitron electronic controller incorporated in the MESOTHERM model you have reliable control of water temperature;
  • The integrated Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control capacity ensures that the temperature setting will remain exceptionally stable (± 0.1°C) despite fluctuations in the ambient air temperature;
  • The Tide-Monitron™ also enables monitoring and control of other key water parameters such as dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity, in each unit and to transfer the data to a hub by means of a wireless connection;
  • As for the Tropik Model, photoperiodic control can be achieved in the laboratory room by means of our MRA electronic dimmer, or SunMatch astral photoperiod controller;


THE ARCTIK MODEL


This the top module of the series. It has been designed to hold the aquarium water down to low temperatures of 4°C, in a room temperature of 20°C. The system is able to do so for both fresh and salt water species. It is sought after for rearing cold water invertebrates and fish species.

The Arctik Model incorporates all the Mesotherm advanced features listed previously, plus:

On board photopériod!

  • The capacity to simulate dawn and dusk of the MRA electronic dimmer ™ has been integrated into the Arctic’s Tide-monitron units;
  • Waterproof 12-volt light emitting diodes (LED's) are built directly into the lid of each Arctik type aquarium. The LED can be set for any type of photoperiodic cycle, they may even be set for a complete annual cycle for breeding control;

Powerful temperature control

  • Significant Temperature Range — The superior thermo-electric modules and titanium heat exchanger included in the arctic models allow you to vary the temperature of the water from 4°C to 30°C in a room temperature of 20°C;
  • Superior Energy Efficiency — In order to save energy and reduce condensation, the front windows are now constructed from thermos type energy-reduction glass, while the walls and lids are made of polystyrene insulation sandwiched between twin layers of food-approved moulded fibreglass;
