Technical Specifications

The filtration system includes
1 recirculation pump;
1 physical / biofilter;
1 titanium ground probe;
1 thermoelectric box with, 1 toggle switch for the temperature on the front control device (heating or cooling) and 1 toggle switch for the recirculation pump (on/off);
1 skimmer;

The temperature system includes
1 temperature probe;
1 thermoelectric module;
1central glycol system (fan, pump, tank) controls the temperature of each thermoelectric module;

The Tide simulation system includes
1 water level sensor;
1 peristaltic pump;
Capacity to choose if the tide begins at low water or high water;
Capacity to choose duration between low and high water (300 to 420 min) and the number of consecutive flows;
One electronic controller Enviro-monitron (Tide version) controls the Tide and the Temperature for two aquariums;

 

Security

  • All electrical appliances operate at 12VDC. Two transformers 115VAC-12 VDC are provided. The ground is made of titanium.

Space-Saving

  • The units take only 61 cm x 122 cm (2 ft. x 4 ft.)

Tide simulation

  • The aquaria are twinned such that one serves to produce the inverse of the other, so when aquarium number 1 is at high water, aquarium number 2 is at low water;
  • The simulated tidal flow describes a sine curve, as in real life. A maximum ebb of 20 cm (± 5 mm) can be obtained with our standard units. However, if a greater tidal range is required, we can manufacture such experimental aquaria to order;
  • Fabricated of molded Fiberglas, each unit comprises either four aquaria of 30 liter or 60 liter capacity;

Solid separation After exiting the rearing tanks, the clear recycled effluent passes through a rapid action cartridge filter (16 microns) to remove fine solids and dissolved organics. Fine SS and dissolved organics can be removed through a foam fractionator.

Because it is in constant contact with air, the skimmer provides degassing action (the CO2 level is maintained below 15 mg/L), and ample oxygen transfer to the nitrifying bacteria. The high air-to-water ratio within the skimmer transforms it into an excellent degassing tower. At high fish loads, low-pressure air from a blower can be injected directly in the aquarium.
Piping and valves Complete assembly for carrying water to the Housing section and back to the REBF module.
Temperature control A thermoelectric module maintains a temperature range of 5-25ºC, provided that air temperature is at 20ºC. The electronic digital temperature controller (Enviro-monitron) adjusts precisely. (+0.1ºC) the water temperature.
Frame The frame is corrosion-resistant and treated to prevent mould and bacteria proliferation. Being food-approved for direct contact with food, we guarantee that it will not leach any chemical. The frame & grid have a maximum holding capacity of approximately 75 lbs per square foot.
Cleaning The REBF Modules can be dismantled for cleaning and sterilisation of all waterways.
Testing

REBF Module’s equipment is pre-assembled at our plant on plastic pallets. All this equipment will be quality-checked for leaks before shipment, and when technically possible (ex.: when Hertz compatible) for required performance.

Installation, connections to building or floor alteration (sumps, clamps on wall, etc.) are the client's responsibility;
