General Specifications
Even if each system is custom built to your specifications, some basic general features are included in every system that we build.
Marine Wet Tables are generally highly recirculated systems (5% water exchanged per day) for better control over water temperature and water saving.Solid separation
- When larger tanks are part of a Wet table, a double drain sediment trap within each tank facilitates the removal of solids;
- These sediment traps are capable of removing 70-90% of solids in less than a minute, leaving the recycled water nearly sediment free for subsequent filtration;
- After exiting the rearing tanks, the clear recycled effluent passes through a rapid action cartridge filter (16 microns) to remove fine solids and dissolved organics;
Biofiltration
- Biofiltration media positively charged with high affinity for attracting gram-ve bacteria such as nitrifyers;
- It is self-cleaning and pre-activated with sea-water or freshwater nitrifying bacteria to considerably reduce maturation time.
Safety
- Safety is an important component of the REBF systems. Here are some advantages for added peace of mind;
- An Enviro-Monitron will independently monitor dissolved oxygen, water temperature, water level and water flow through an electronic flow meter;
- The Enviro-Monitron will generate visual alarms locally;
Frame
- Being made of Fiberglas and plastic, the frame is corrosion-resistant.
- Treated with Microban® to prevent mould and bacteria proliferation, it is very easy to clean. Being food-approved for direct contact with food, we guarantee that it will not leach any chemical. The frame & grid have a maximum holding capacity of approximately 75 lbs per square foot;
Pipes connected through unions
- The REBF Modules can be dismantled for cleaning and sterilisation of all waterways.
Testing
- REBF Module’s equipment is pre-assembled at our plant on plastic pallets. All this equipment is quality-checked for leaks and for required performance before shipment
