Each Wet table is built to meet your specific requirements. 

  • This Marine system combines a wet table for setting individual aquaria, with Swedish tanks to house invertebrate communities. 
  • Being away from the ocean, this laboratory must recycle close to 100% of its seawater.  The AQUA-REBF Module therefore features biofilter inoculated with marine nitrifying bacteria.  The biofilter also provides aeration and degassing action as air circulates at counter-current through the reactor. Oxygen-enriched air is supplied and diffused through a oxygen saturator to automatically supply the additional oxygen demand when a batch of invertebrates is added from a field trip. 
  • The Water Recycling with Biofiltration Module normally features Biofiltration, solid removal, degassing, temperature control, foam fractionation (for marine systems), and dissloved oxygen control and monitoring.

Features
Pumping Centrifugal pumps. Any components which are likely to be in contact with water are made from thermoplastic to avoid any chance of corrosion.

CO2 removal

(Done through the AquaNit Trickling Biofilter)

Because of its high contact with air, the Aquanit biofilter provides degassing action (the CO2 level is maintained below 15 mg/L), and ample oxygen transfer to the nitrifying bacteria. The high air-to-water ratio within the bioreactor transforms it into an excellent degassing tower.

90% oxygen-enriched air supplementation

Some wet tables may have a high oxygen demand due to high or suddent biomass loading. 

In those cases, the REBF module is designed to operate with oxygen-enriched air in order to maintain high levels of dissolved oxygen regardless of fish densities, recirculation levels or rearing temperature.

REBF may include:

- One pressurised counter-current oxygen saturator
- One oxygen generator (in option)
- Oxygen injection electronically controlled by the Enviro-Monitron

 

Temperature control

Every Wet table is built to your temperature requirements. Heat exchangers are in seawater resistant Titanium. 

Heat exchanger may be connected to a central chilling system, or its own compressor.

The Enviro-Monitron may control or monitor the temperature.
